| PREAUTHORIZATION OF CREDIT CARDS: At the time that your order is submitted, the credit card that was used to make the purchase is preauthorized for the full amount. At the time that your order is fulfilled, this preauthorized transaction is "captured" and converted into an actual charge. In the event that the final order total is less than the initial preauthorized amount (such as in the case where items are canceled from the order), the resulting "captured" charge will be less than the initial preauthorized amount. In the event that the final order total is more than the initial preauthorized amount (such as in the case where items are added to the order), the initial preauthorized amount will be "captured" with the balance being charged in the form of a new transaction. If an order is canceled, the original preauthorization will be dropped from the credit card account within a period of 2-10 business days...depending on how your issuing bank operates. |
